    The part time Staff Accountant supports the efficient operation of the Company’s Finance Department and will be responsible for accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close accounting.   This is a great opportunity for a junior college student working toward their BS in Accounting or Finance. 


    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Enter, review, code, and approve vendor invoices and employee expense reports to account payable.
    • Retrieve vendor information when necessary – W-9, contact info
    • Research and resolve accounts payable issues
    • Reconcile payables to vendor statements and sub-ledger in QB
    • Post and reconcile credit card transactions and statements
    • Process and record customer payments; apply payments to outstanding invoices
    • Prepare bank deposits
    • Create financial reports as needed

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • If you have completed an internship within the last year at an accounting firm or in an accounting department , we’d like to hear from you
    • BS in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience with general accounting, intercompany accounting, and A/P
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Accurate and thorough; proficient at monitoring work to ensure high quality
    • Methodical, detail-oriented, highly analytical
    • Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
    • Work cooperatively and jointly with other departments
    • Team player and personal initiative are highly valued
    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
